Jordyn Silverstein, MD.
I'm a Medical Oncologist at UCLA specializing in gynecologic cancers — ovarian, endometrial, and cervical — and I care for patients with a wide range of cancer diagnoses across hospitals and clinics throughout Los Angeles.
My clinical training took me from Duke University, where I studied Biology, through UCSF for medical school and internal medicine residency, and back to UCLA for my fellowship in hematology / oncology. Along the way, I developed a deep interest in cancer research, including drug development, clinical trials, and the unique challenges of cancer during pregnancy.
But here's what really drives this podcast: in my years of practice, I've seen how overwhelming a cancer diagnosis can be. There is never enough time in a clinic visit to answer every question, ease every worry, or explain every option — and that gap stays with me. This podcast is my attempt to close it.
Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis, supporting a loved one, or simply trying to understand what's happening in your body, I want this to be a resource you can turn to — at any hour, at your own pace. From the latest treatment advances to nutrition, quality of life, and everything in between, my goal is to make trustworthy, up-to-date cancer information genuinely accessible to everyone.
You deserve to feel informed. I'm glad you're here.
